# Features discontinued in QuickBooks Desktop 2022 and Enterprise 22

If you have employees and want to track their time, consider [**QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium or Elite**](https://qbo.intuit.com/app/billing/?cid=CSSDR172-OHH-US-QBOPR-ELITE-NA-USLL-EDU-NA-FY26PayrollPeakIARecUKNPayroll4). This also includes advanced time tracking options like time off requests, mobile time entry, and scheduling.

With the launch of QuickBooks Desktop 2022 and Enterprise 22.0, you’ll notice that [**Loan Manager**](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/journal-entries/quickbooks-loan-manager/00/203776), [**Scan Manager**](https://community.intuit.com/oicms/L9Z3Fi2L9_US_en_US), [**Cash Flow Projector**](https://community.intuit.com/oicms/L0BSJYlHq_US_en_US), and QuickBooks Pro Timer are no longer available.

### You can still track loans in QuickBooks

Transactions like principal repayment and interest expense are no longer automated. You’ll need to [**manually enter them**](https://community.intuit.com/oicms/L6UGYFBQX_US_en_US) in QuickBooks Desktop 2022. You may need to know the principal and interest components for each payment. Refer to the amortization schedule provided by the lender.

### Attach documents with your mobile

Scan Manager was replaced with [**Attach Documents**](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/mobile-and-apps/attach-documents-to-transactions-in-quickbooks-desktop-using/00/949026). You can still scan documents using your mobile device and then import the documents into QuickBooks.

### Track time in QuickBooks Desktop

You can’t import timesheets from QuickBooks Pro Timer any longer. You’ll need to [**manually enter timesheets**](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/time-tracking/create-print-timesheets/L6gvNcKlB_US_en_US?uid=ljd6l3ui) in QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise 2022 and newer. If you still have QuickBooks Pro Timer, you can export and import your timesheets using IIF files. Here are the steps to do this:

01. Backup your QuickBooks Desktop file.  
02. Open QuickBooks Pro Timer and select **Export**.

03. Save the file as an IIF (.iif) file.  
04. Right-click the saved IIF file and select **Open with** then **Excel**.  
05. Expand the columns, find this header row, and delete all rows above it:

**\|!TIMEACCT \| DATE \| JOB \| EMP \| ITEM \| PITEM \| DURATION \| PROJ \| NOTE \| XFERTOPAYROLL \| BILLINGSTATUS \|**  
06. Go to **File** and select **Save**, not Save As, then close the IIF file.  
07. Sign in as the admin to your QuickBooks Desktop company file.  
08. Go to **File** then **Utilities** then **Import** and then select **IIF Files**.  
09. Select **Import IIF** twice then browse to your saved QuickBooks Pro Timer IIF file.  
10. Select **Done**.

Once the import finishes you’ll get a confirmation the import was successful. To see your imported time sheets,

1. Go to **Employees**.  
2. Select **Enter Time** then **Use weekly Timesheet**.
