# Find Your Campaign ID

##### by Intuit•2• Updated 1 year ago

All campaigns created in Mailchimp are assigned a campaign ID (CID), so we can monitor content and investigate abuse. The campaign ID helps us track down offending campaigns and contains information to remove recipients from the sender’s audience.

In this article, we’ll show you how to find the unique Mailchimp campaign ID.

### View email header

To find the campaign ID, you'll need to download the email's full header information from your email client. Choose your email client from the list to get instructions.

- [Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, and Hotmail](https://support.google.com/mail/answer/29436?hl=en)
- [Office 365, Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010, and 2007](https://support.office.com/en-us/article/view-internet-message-headers-cd039382-dc6e-4264-ac74-c048563d212c)

### What to look for

After you download the full header information, look for the following details.

- **X-Campaign**

This is the unique campaign ID and confirms that the email came from Mailchimp. The image shows email header with an X-Campaign value of mailchimp67a904de95.0914d8f4b4.
- **X-Report-Abuse**

This is the URL you'll visit to report abuse to our system:

All reporting is confidential. We will investigate further to ensure compliance with our [Terms of Use](https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/).
